Let LaTeX: \textstyle x \in X : g(x) \le b be the level set of LaTeX: g. Then, its strict interior is LaTeX: \textstyle x \in X : g(x) < b. (This is not to be confused with the relative interior or the set interior - see Myths and Counter Examples in Mathematical Programming.)
